اختيار المدرسة عملية عالية المشاركة حيث يحتاج الوالدان فيها مراعاة العديد من العوامل عند اتخاذ هذا القرار. ومع ذلك، يبقى الكثيرون لا يعلمون الكثير عن تلك العوامل التي تؤثر على اختيار المدرسة لدى الوالدين الإيرانيين. إن الغرض من هذه الدراسة هو التعرف على العوامل التي تؤثر على عملية اختيار المدرسة لدى الوالدين الإيرانيين. ونظرا لشح الأدبيات السابقة المعنية وتلك التي لم تتناول بشكل كاف هذا الموضوع لدى الأسر الإيرانية، تم إجراء هذه الدراسة باستخدام البحث النوعي التوافقي (CQR). لهذه الدراسة، تم اختيار 29 من الآباء والأمهات، وإجراء مقابلات شبه مقننة. أظهرت النتائج بروز ثلاثة مجالات تؤثر في قرار الاختيار: 1) جودة المبنى المدرسي، 2) الجودة التعليمية للمدرسة، و3) المناخ المدرسي. بالإضافة إلى ذلك، ظهرت تسع عشرة فئة، تم تصنيفها إلى الفئات الثلاث المذكورة. يتم شرح نتائجها من المنظور الثقافي للمجتمع الإيراني، وتناقش الدراسة كذلك الآثار المترتبة على الهيئة التعليمية وصانعي السياسات. School choice is a high-involvement process in which parents need to consider numerous factors when making this decision. However, little is known about the factors affecting school choice among Iranian parents. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting the school choice process among Iranian parents. Because the previous literature does not adequately investigate such topic among Iranian families. The qualitative approach, using consensual qualitative research (CQR), was utilized. For this study, 29 parents were recruited. A semi-structured interview was con¬ducted. Through data analysis, three domains emerged: 1) school physical environment, 2) school educational quality, and 3) school atmosphere. Additionally, nineteen categories emerged, which were categorized into the three mentioned categories. Findings are explained from the Iranian cultural perspective, and implications for educators and policymakers are discussed. (Published abstract)
