هدفت الدراسة التعرف على درجة ممارسة مدراء المدارس الحكومية في دولة الكويت لمبادئ التخطيط الاستراتيجي، وتم استخدام المنهج الوصفي المسحي، والاستبانة كأداة للدراسة، واختيرت عينة بالطريقة العشوائية بلغت (86) مديرًا ومديرة، وأظهرت النتائج أن درجة ممارسة مديري المدارس في دولة الكويت للتخطيط الاستراتيجي جاءت بدرجة متوسطة، وأظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تبعا لمتغير الجنس، أو مستوى المدرسة، ووجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات استجابات أفراد عينة الدراسة لدرجة ممارستهم للتخطيط الاستراتيجي بحسب متغير المؤهل العلمي لصالح دراسات عليا (ماجستير/ دكتوراه)، ووجود فروق دالة إحصائيًا تعزى لمتغير سنوات الخبرة لصالح ولصالح فئة الخبرة الأعلى (10 سنوات فأكثر) مقارنة مع فئة كل من (5 - 10 سنوات، وفئة أقل من 5). This study aimed at identifying the status of strategic planning in public schools in the State of Kuwait from the viewpoint of its principals, the descriptive survey method was used, and the questionnaire was used as a study tool, a random cluster sample of (86) principals was selected. The study findings showed that the degree of practicing the strategic planning in public schools in the State of Kuwait was medium, and the study findings showed that there aren't statistically significant differences in practicing the strategic planning in public schools in the State of Kuwait from the viewpoint of its principals attributed to gender or to school level variables. While the study findings showed that there are statistically significant differences in practicing the strategic planning in the State of Kuwait public schools attributed to qualification in favor of Graduate (MSc / PhD), and there are statistically significant differences in practicing the strategic planning in the State of Kuwait public schools attributed to experience years, in favor of (More than 10 years).
