تعد أصول التربية من المجالات التربوية المهمة؛ حيث إنها تمثل الأسس التي يقوم عليها أي نظام تربوي، ويشتق منها مبادئه، وتوجِّه ممارساته، وتعكس فلسفة المجتمع وغاياته، وتشارك في رسم السياسات التعليمية، ومعالجة القضايا التربوية، وتشير أدبيات البحث التربوي إلى أن هذا المجال يشوبه قصور في جوانبه التدريسية والبحثية والخدمية؛ لذا هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تطوير مجال أصول التربية في هذه الجوانب الثلاثة في ضوء الاتجاهات الحديثة، واستخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي، والأسلوب الإشرافي ومجموعات التركيز لتحقيق أهداف الدراسة. وتناولت الدراسة في إطارها النظري مجال أصول التربية، والاتجاهات الحديثة في هذا المجال في التدريس والبحث العلمي وخدمة المجتمع، ثم طرح الباحث رؤية مستقبلية لتطوير مجال أصول التربية في الجوانب التدريسية والبحثية والخدمية. The foundation of education is an important educational field as it represents the foundations on which any educational system is based. Its principles are derived from the philosophy of society and its goals are reflected, and it participates in drawing educational policies as well as addressing educational issues. Reviewing the literature of educational research indicated that this field has deficiencies in teaching, research, and service aspects. Therefore, this study aimed to develop the field of foundations in these three aspects in the light of recent trends. The researcher used the descriptive method, supervisory approach, and focus groups to achieve the goals of the study. The study, in its theoretical framework, dealt with the field of the foundations of education and the recent trends in this field in teaching, scientific research and community service, then the researcher presented a future vision for developing the field of the foundations of education in the teaching, research, and service aspects.
