هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على المشكلات التي يعاني منها المكفوفين في بعض الدول العربية وأسباب كل مشكلة من وجهة نظر المكفوفين أفراد العينة، وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من 117 كفيفا وكفيفة من بعض الدول العربية، وقد تم تطبيق استبانة من إعداد الباحثة المكونة من 13 مشكلة من مشكلات التفاعل الاجتماعي وأسبابها، تم تطبيقها عليهم إلكترونيا. وقد أظهرت الدراسة وجود مشكلات في التفاعل الاجتماعي لدى المكفوفين وأن أهم هذه الأسباب كانت أسباب نفسية شخصية تتمثل في وجود مشاعر سلبية نحو الذات، أو المجتمع أو نحو الإعاقة نفسها، والأسباب الأخرى كانت أسباب ثقافية اجتماعية تتمثل في نظرة المجتمع السلبية نحو الكفيف وجهله بقدراته وإمكاناته. This study aimed to identify social interaction problems for visually impaired people in some Arab countries and the reasons behind each problem from their point of view. The sample of the study consisted of (117) participants who are blind from some Arab countries. The researcher prepared a questionnaire which contains (13) social interaction problems and their reasons which was applied to them electronically. The study showed that blind people suffer from social interaction problems. The reasons were either personal and psychological reasons like negative feelings towards themselves, the society or towards the disability. Or social and cultural reasons like the negative view towards the blind and the societal lack of awareness of the capacities and capabilities of blind people. (Author's abstract)
