This article aims to get to know the effect of digital video (regular/interactive) on the acquisition of Adobe Flash CS6 skills by the students of Department of Education and Information Technology, Faculty of Education, Ibb University. The researcher employs a quasi experimental approach. The study sample consists of 50 female, second year students. The sample was divided into two experimental groups, 25 students each. The first experimental group was trained on the regular digital video, while the second experimental one was trained on the interactive digital video. Two research instruments were designed by the researcher, namely a test and an observation card, to test the knowledge aspect and scale Adobe Flash CS6 skills. The most important findings are as follows: there were statistically significant differences between the pre- and post applications, in favor of the post application. There were also statistically significant differences between the post-tests in favor of the second experimental group that were trained on the interactive video. Both groups score high effect in post-tests and post-application. However, there were no statistically significant differences in the post-test of the observation card. Finally, the study concludes with a number of recommendations and suggestions. (Published abstract)
