هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى التعرف على مدى تواجد اضطراب تشوه الجسد الوهمي ومن ثم دراسة علاقته بالقلق الاجتماعي لدى طلبة المرحلة الثانوية منطقة مكة المكرمة من كلا الجنسين، تم التطبيق على عينة من 430 من الطلبة (200) ذكور و(230) إناثا، تم تطبيق مقياسي اضطراب تشوه الجسد الوهمي (الحلو وعباس، 2015)، ومقياس القلق الاجتماعي المقنن للبيئة السعودية (الشافعي، 2008)، تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي المقارن، وأظهرت النتائج تمتع الطلبة بدرجة متوسطة من تشوه الجسد الوهمي، بينما لم تظهر النتائج وجود فروق بين الذكور والإناث في اضطراب تشوه الجسد الوهمي أو بالقلق الاجتماعي، إلا أنه كانت هناك علاقة ارتباطية قوية بين اضطراب تشوه الجسد الوهمي والقلق الاجتماعي. The present study aimed at identifying the presence of placebo deformity disorder and then examining its relationship with social anxiety among secondary school students in Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region from both sexes. A sample of 406 students: (200) males and (230) females, was used. The dysmorphic body disorder scale (Al-Hilou and Abbas, 2015) and the standardized social anxiety scale for the Saudi environment were applied (Al- Shafei, 2008). A comparative descriptive approach was used, and the results showed that students had a moderate degree of Dysmorphism, but showed no differences between males and females in Dysmorphism deformity disorder or social anxiety. However, there was a strong correlation between dysmorphic body disorder and social anxiety. (Published abstract)
