هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى تحديد وجهة نظر طلبة المرحلة الجامعية نحو مهارات الكتابة الأكاديميـة اللازمة لهم، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف استخدم المنهج الاستكشافي، وصممت استبانة تكونت من (٢٦) مهارة كتابة أكاديمية مناسبة لطلبة المرحلة الجامعية، وزعت في خمسة محاور، وشارك في الدراسة (569 طالبا وطالبة) من مرحلة البكالوريوس بكلية التربية في جامعة الباحة، وبعد تحليل استجابات المشاركين تبين اتفاقهم على أهمية تعلم مهارات الكتابة الأكاديمية اللازمة لهم بدرجة كبيرة في جميع المحاور الخمسة: التخطيط وجمع المعلومات، التنظيم والشكل، بناء الأفكار، الأسلوب وسلامة اللغة، والتدقيق والمراجعة، وقد بلغ المتوسط الحسابي لهذه المحاور على التوالي (٣،٦٦، ٣،٣٧، ٣،٤٤، ٣،٤٠، ٣،٤١)، والانحراف المعياري (0.41، 0.50، 0.46، 0.45، 0.53)، وقد كان المجموع الإجمالي لجميع المحاور بدرجة كبيرة؛ حيث بلغ المتوسط الحسابي (٣،٤٤) والانحراف المعياري (0.36)، وفي ضوء هذه النتائج قدمت مجموعة من التوصيات أبرزها: تصميم مقررات دراسية مستقلة وإلزامية تهتم بتدريس طلبة المرحلة الجامعية مهارات الكتابة الأكاديمية، وتقديم دورات تدريبية، أو ورش عمل تهتم بتنمية مهارات طلبة المرحلة الجامعية في الكتابة الأكاديمية، وإعادة تطوير مقررات المهارات اللغوية في الجامعات لتراعي مهارات الكتابة الأكاديمية التي تم التوصل إليها في الدراسة الحالية ، ومن جانب آخر قدمت مجموعة من المقترحات التي قد تسهم في تنمية مهارات الكتابة الأكاديمية لطلبة المرحلة الجامعية. The objective of this study is to determine the perspective of the undergraduate students on the academic writing skills necessary for them. To achieve this, the exploratory method was used. The questionnaire was designed which consisted of (26) academic writing skills suitable for undergraduate students, and distributed in five axes. 569 male and female students from the bachelor's degree in the Faculty of Education at Albaha University were took part on the study. The analysis of the participants' responses showed that they agreed on the importance of learning the academic writing skills that are necessary for them in all five axes (high degree): planning and information gathering - organization and form-building building ideas - style and language integrity - auditing and reviewing. The total sum of all axes was high degree, where the arithmetic mean was (3.44) and the standard deviation (0.36). In the light of these results, a number of recommendations are presented. The most important of these recommendations were the design of independent and mandatory courses concentrating in teaching undergraduate students academic writing skills, presenting training courses or workshops on developing the skills of undergraduate students in academic writing. Secondly, the redevelopment of language skills courses at universities will take account of the academic writing skills that have been reached in the current study. On the other hand, a set of suggestions is presented which may contribute to the development of academic writing skills for undergraduate students. (Published abstract)
