هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الكشف عن أثر عدد من المتغيرات في تفسير التباين الحاصل في رضا طلاب جامعة الملك سعود عن تجربتهم في التعليم عن بعد، وهذه المتغيرات والتي تشكل أبعاد التعليم عن بعد هي ملاءمة المحتوى التعليمي، وأداء عضو هيئة التدريس، وفاعلية الفصول الافتراضية، وسهولة التعامل مع نظام إدارة التعلم. وقد شارك في الدراسة 234 طالبا وطالبة من كليات مختلفة درسوا بنمط التعليم عن بعد، وأشارت نتائج تحليل التباين المتعدد إلى أن العوامل المؤثرة في مستوى رضا الطلاب هي ملاءمة المحتوى التعليمي، وفاعلية الفصول الافتراضية حيث يمكن تفسير 72% من التباين في مستويات رضا الطلاب من خلال هذين المتغيرين، شملت الدراسة على توصيات وعلى مقترحات أخرى لتحسين تجربة التعليم عن بعد. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of several variables in explaining the variation in students’ satisfaction of distance learning in King Saud University, and to identify the factors that affect their satisfaction. These variables, which constitute the dimensions of distance learning, are the relevance of the learning content, the performance of the faculty member, the effectiveness of the virtual classroom, and the usability of the learning management system. The participants constituted a total of two-hundred thirty-four students who enrolled in online courses and who belonged to different colleges in the University. The results of the analysis of variance indicate that the factors affecting the level of student satisfaction are the relevance of the learning content and the effectiveness of the virtual classes, as 72% of the variance in the levels of student satisfaction can be explained by these two variables. The study includes recommendations to improve the distance learning experience. (Published abstract)
