هدفت الدراسة إلى الكشف عن درجة توافر العوامل الخمسة الكبرى للشخصية لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية، وطبيعة العلاقة بينها وبين مستوى الطموح، والكشف عن إمكانية التنبؤ بمستوى الطموح من خلال العوامل الخمسة الكبرى للشخصية لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية، وتم استخدام المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، وتطبيق الدراسة على عينة بلغت (381) طالباً من مجتمع الدراسة، باستخدام مقياس العوامل الخمسة الكبرى للشخصية من إعداد الرويتع (2007م) ومقياس مستوى الطموح من إعداد معوض وعبدالعظيم (2005م)، وكشفت الدراسة أن عامل الوداعة يأتي بالمرتبة الأولى بين العوامل الخمسة الكبرى للشخصية، يليه عامل الانبساطية، وبالمرتبة الثالثة عامل التفاني، يليه عامل الانفتاح على الخبرة، وفي الأخير عامل العصابية. كما أظهرت النتائج طردية العلاقة بين عوامل التفاني والانبساطية والانفتاح على الخبرة والوداعة مع مستوى الطموح، بينما كانت العلاقة عكسية بين عامل العصابية ومستوى الطموح، وكذلك أوضحت النتائج أنه يمكن التنبؤ بمستوى الطموح لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية من خلال (عامل التفاني، الانفتاح على الخبرة، الانبساطية، العصابية) على التوالي، في حين أوضحت النتائج أنه لا يوجد تأثير لعامل الوداعة على مستوى الطموح، وقد خرجت الدراسة بعدد من التوصيات من أهمها ضرورة إقامة دروات تدريبية للطلاب تقوم بتوعيتهم بكيفية التفاعل والتوافق مع الآخرين. The study aimed to reveal the degree of availability of the five major factors of personality among high school students And the nature of the relationship between it and the level of ambition, and the possibility of predicting the level of ambition through it among secondary school students, The correlational descriptive approach was used, and the study was applied to a sample of (381) students from the study population, using the Al-Rawaita scale (2007) and the Moawad and Abdul-Azim scale (2005). The study revealed that the gentleness factor comes first among the five major factors of personality, followed by extroversion, then dedication, then openness to experience, then neuroticism, and also the correlation between the factors of dedication and extroversion, openness to experience and gentleness with the level of ambition, while the relationship was inverse between the factor of neuroticism. And the level of ambition, and also the level of ambition can be predicted through (dedication factor, openness to experience, extraversion, neuroticism) respectively, while there is no effect of the mildness factor on the level of ambition. The study recommended the necessity of holding training courses for students to make them aware of how to interact and get along with others. (Published abstract)
