The study aimed to identify the reality of professional development of educational supervisors in the General Administration of Education in Riyadh, and to identify the obstacles that limit the development of supervisors professionally, as well as to provide proposals that contribute to raising the level of professional development of supervisors and upgrading them. The researcher used the descriptive survey approach and applied the questionnaire as a tool to collect data. The study population consisted of all male and female educational supervisors (n= 2038) in the General Administration of Education in Riyadh; the study sample consisted of a simple random sample of male and female educational supervisors .)٪١٦( The study reached a number of results, most notably: the reality of the professional development of supervisors of the General Directorate of Education in Riyadh came with an average of (3.11), and the results showed that the study members highly agreed with an average of (3.67) on the obstacles that limit the levels of professional development of supervisors, and that the study sample agreed with a high average of (4.20) on the proposals that contribute to raising their level of professional development. Based on the results, the researcher presented a set of recommendations and proposals, the most important of which were: to take advantage of the proposals made by the current study to raise the levels of professional development of educational supervisors, study the needs of educational supervisors in a scientific way and design professional development programs according to those needs, with the need to continuously evaluate and develop professional development programs in light of scientific, technical and applied developments in the field by encouraging supervisors to attend educational and scientific conferences.
