تهدف الدراسة الحالية إلى اشتقاق المعايير السيكومترية للصورة البحرينية لمقياس المواقف اليومية (مشكلات الحياة الحقيقية) والذي هو جزء من اختبار الذكاء العملي الذي طوّره ستيرنبرغ وكوفمان وغريغورينكو (Sternberg et al., 2008). تعتمد فكرة اختبار الذكاء العملي على نظرية الذكاء الثلاثي لستيرنبرغ فتتصل المشكلات المطروحة بمشكلات حقيقية تواجه الفرد في حياته، وتتطلب معرفة قدرته على التوافق مع البيئة أو تغييرها أو اختيار بيئة بديلة عنها. تكون المقياس من عشرين فقرة من نوع الاختيار المتعدد، وبعد كل موقف يتم تقديم ثلاثة خيارات تمثل طرقا مختلفة لمعالجة المشكلة حسب مفهوم الذكاء العملي. يتمثل الخيار الأول في التكيف (ستحاول التأقلم مع البيئة)، ويمثل الخيار الثاني بالعمل على تغير البيئة، أما الخيار الثالث فيتمثل بالبحث عن بيئة بديلة (تقرر ترك البيئة تماما).تمّ التطبيق على عينة طبقية (Stratified Sample) من طلبة بكالوريوس الطب (300) طالب وطالبة موزّعين حسب النوع ومستوى السنة الدراسية في العام الجامعي 2018/2019. أشارت النتائج إلى أن: 1) اختبار الذكاء العملي أحادي البعد. 2) اختبار الذكاء يتمتع بدرجة عالية من الصدق والثبات. 3) يختلف الأداء في اختبار الذكاء العملي باختلاف الجنس، ولصالح الذكور. The present study was conducted to derive the psychometric properties of the Bahraini version of the practical intelligence test (pit), which is a part of the applied intelligence test developed by Sternberg et al. (2008). This test is based on Sternberg's theory of triarchic intelligence. The scale consisted of twenty multiple choice items, and after each situation three options are presented that represent different ways to address the problem according to the concept of practical intelligence. The first option is adaptation (you will try to adapt to the environment). The second option represents changing the environment. The third option is to look for another environment (you decide to leave the environment completely). The population of the study consisted of undergraduate students in public and private universities in the kingdom of Bahrain enrolled in the 2019/2018 academic year. One of the six universities has been selected. A stratified sample of 300 undergraduate students was distributed by sex and grade level. The results revealed that: 1) practical intelligence is uni-dimensional. 2) The pit has high levels of validity and reliability. 3) The practical intelligence performance varies according to gender and in favor of males.
