هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى تعرّف درجة ممارسة رؤساء الأقسام للإشراف الإكلينيكي في مدارس الثانوية بدولة الكويت من وجهة نظر المعلمين، والكشف عّما إذا كانت هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسطات استجابات أفراد العينة تعزى لمتغيرات الجنس، والتخصص، وسنوات الخدمة، والمنطقة التعليمية. وقد اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي المسحي لتحقيق هذا الهدف، واتخذت من الاستبيان أداة لها، وقد طُبقت على عينة عشوائية بلغ عددها (ن=794) معلماً ومعلمةً. وباستخدام الأدوات الإحصائية المناسبة، توصلت الدراسة إلى أن درجة ممارسة رؤساء الأقسام للإشراف الإكلينيكي كانت مرتفعة. وقد حلّ مجال الملاحظة الصفية في المرتبة الأولى من حيث أعلى متوسط حسابي، يليه مجال التقويم والتغذية الراجعة، ثم مجال تحليل التدريس، وأخيراً مجال التخطيط للتدريس. كما أظهرت النتائج فروقاً ذات دلالة إحصائية فيما يتعلق بمتغير الجنس، جاءت لصالح الإناث، وفروقاً أخرى تُعزى لمتغير سنوات الخدمة، وكانت لصالح سنوات خدمة (أقل من 5 سنوات)، وفروقاً أيضاً تُعزى لمتغير المنطقة التعليمية، وكانت لصالح منطقة العاصمة التعليمية، بينما لم تظهر أي فروق دالة إحصائياً تبعاً لمتغير التخصص. وفي ضوء ذلك قدمت الدراسة عدداً من التوصيات، أبرزها توطيد علاقة الشراكة الفعالة والزمالة بين المعلمين ورؤساء أقسامهم. كما أوصت الدراسة بضرورة اهتمام رؤساء الأقسام بالاجتماع القبلي بغية الاتفاق مع المعلمين على نوعية البيانات التي ستجمع أثناء الملاحظة، وعلى تحديد موعد الزيارة. This study aimed at identifying the degree of clinical supervision practice by heads of departments in the State of Kuwait secondary schools, from the point of view of teachers, and investigating whether there were statistically significant differences among the participants’ responses means that can be attributed to gender, specialization, years of service, and education district variable. The study followed the descriptive survey approach to achieve its objective. A questionnaire, the study instrument, was used to collect data from a sample (n = 794) male and female teachers. Using the appropriate statistical tools, the study concluded that the degree of clinical supervision practice by heads of departments was high. Classroom observation came with the highest mean. It was followed by evaluation and feedback, then teaching analysis, and finally teaching planning. Study results showed statistically significant differences regarding the gender variable, in favor of the females; to the years of service variable for those less than 5 years; to the education district variable, in favor of the capital education district. No statistically significant differences were found regarding the specialization variable. In the light of the results pointed out, the study presented several recommendations among which are strengthening the effective partnership and collegial relationship between teachers and their department heads, having pre-observation meetings with the teachers to pinpoint the kind of information that the observer will be collecting during the observation, and setting up the date and time of the visit.
