This study aims to identify the requirements for building a learning organization in light of contemporary administrative thought and the availability of these requirements in the Faculty of Education at Al-Qassim University, as well as the existence of statistically significant differences among the responses of the study sample members on the availability of the building requirements of the learning organization due to some variables, such as: gender, leadership function, scientific rank and educational specialization. In order to achieve this goal, the study used the descriptive approach and used the questionnaire tool applied to a sample of faculty members, numbering 94 members. The results of the study showed that the requirements for building a learning organization in the Faculty of Education were available to a medium degree at the level of the five axes of the questionnaire, which are to adopt a common vision and seek to achieve it, provide leadership that supports learning, promote collective learning, create an organizational climate supportive to learning, generate and share knowledge. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences among the average responses of the sample members on the reality of the availability of the building requirements of the learning organization due to gender, leadership function, scientific level and educational specialization. In light of the findings of the study, a number of recommendations were presented, including the establishment of a positive organizational culture through the dissemination of shared and binding values in which everyone believes, the creation of an academic environment in the Faculty of Education for change, the activation of scientific sections in the field of enhancing the dimensions of the learning organization through committees and their activities, the activation of the transformational leadership to achieve continuous improvement and access to the characteristics and components of the learning organization and the establishment of a unit of learning organization within the Faculty of Education. The recommendations included also the development of a system to document the experiences and expertise available and using them in support of building the learning organization. (Published abstract)
