This descriptive study aimed at assessing the petroleum energy literacy level of students at a number of higher education institutions in the state of Kuwait, in the light of some variables, as no similar study has been previously done in the country. A questionnaire was mainly designed and used that has 35 items, pertaining to three oil energy dimensions, i.e., historical, and administrative; technical; and economical sections. 313 male and female were selected, using stratified random sample (equal allocation), from three different higher education institutions (College of Basic Education; Kuwait University; and Gulf University), to represent the study population. The findings indicated that the overall oil energy literacy level was very low. As such, male students have surpassed their female counterparts. At the conclusion, some recommendations have been offered by the researchers. (Published abstract)
