This study aimed to detect the degree of inclusion of the biology textbook for the 10th grade in Jordan for the habits of mind according to project (2061). To achieve the goal of the study, an analysis tool was developed for the main five habits of mind that emerged from the project (2061) of the American association for the advancement of science (AAAS): values and attitudes, computation and estimation, manipulation and observation, communication skills, and critical response skills. The authenticity and consistency of the tool was verified, and the researchers used repetitions and percentages in statistical processing. It was agreed that the paragraph should be considered as an analytical unit, with 957 paragraphs analyzed. The results showed an imbalance in the inclusion of mind habits in the book, with the mind typically reporting "communication skills" at a high rate (75, 68%) compared to other habits, then "values and trends" at an average rate (5.24%), then "manual control and observation" at a low rate (75.5%). Then the "critical response skills" with a very low rate (1%), and the book's lack of interest in the "calculation and estimation" (0%). In the light of these findings, the two researchers recommended that all mental habits should be included in a balanced way by authors in biology textbooks. (Published abstract)
