The study aimed to identify the obstacles facing the application of field education course from the point of view of male and female students at the College of Education, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University, Wadi Addawasir governorate. The study sample consisted of 50 male and 81 female students at level eight in special education and Islamic studies departments. It used a questionnaire of four aspects: obstacles of preparation and training, obstacles of teaching, obstacles of organization and administration related to the school, and the obstacles of organization and administration related to the faculty. The study concluded that students face several obstacles, and that preparation and training ones are the most important, and then come the obstacles of organization and administration related to the school, followed by the obstacles of organization and administration related to the college, while the obstacles of teaching come at the end. The study showed that a number of other obstacles in the open question, which came at the end of the questionnaire. The study has used a variation of multiple variables analysis (MANOVA). The results pointed to an effect of a statistical significance at level (a<0.05), between the two genders on the obstacles of preparation and training, while there is no effect of gender on other obstacles. There are also statistically significant differences at the level (a<0.05) on specialization, and obstacles of preparation, training and teaching, and the obstacles of organization and administration related to the faculty, while there are no statistically significant effect on specialization, organization and administration obstacles related to the school. The study has put a set of educational and organizational recommendations in order to improve the field education in the future. (Published abstract)
