This study aimed to identify the dependency of Palestinian university students on university newspapers for knowledge of student issues. And their confidence of these published issues and the effects resulted from this dependency, it’s a descriptive study used media survey method, the method was a questionnaire applied it on a quota sample of (580) respondents selected from three universities in Gaza, the Islamic University of Gaza, al-Aqsa University, and al-Azhar University, in the period from 15 February 2018 to 20 March 2018. using media dependency theory. The most important results revealed that (16.7%) only of respondents read the university newspapers, and their knowledge of students issues was medium of (50.5%), the results proved that there is a strong positive relation between the degree of students’ dependency on university newspapers and the degree of their confidence of students’ issues, and there was no relation between their dependency on these newspapers and their knowledge about student issues.
