هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على أهمية التعلم الافتراضي والكشف عن دوره في تطوير التعليم وتمكين ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة على ضوء الاتجاهات الحديثة، واستخدمت المنهج الوصفي لتحقيق ذلك الهدف، وقد تناولت الدراسة مفهوم التعلم الافتراضي، وفلسفته وأهميته في ضمان جودة التعليم، ومتطلبات تطبيقه وغير ذلك، ثم عرض مفهوم ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، وتصنيفهم، والاتجاهات الحديثة في تمكينهم من خلال التكنولوجيا الحديثة، واستكمالاً للدراسة تم عرض دور التعلم الافتراضي في تمكين الطلاب ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة. وختاماً توصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من المقترحات والتوصيات للمساهمة في تطبيق التعلم الافتراضي ودوره في تمكين ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة. The study aimed at recognizing the importance of virtual learning and revealing its role in developing education and empowering people with special needs in light of recent trends, and it used the descriptive approach to achieve that goal. The study dealt with the concept of virtual learning, its philosophy and its importance in ensuring the quality of education, the requirements for its application, and so on. Presenting the concept of people with special needs, classifying them, and recent trends in empowering them through modern technology, and as a continuation of the study, the role of virtual learning in empowering students with special needs was presented. Finally, the study reached several proposals and recommendations to contribute to the application of virtual learning and its role in empowering people with special needs. (Published Abstract)
