هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الكشف عن أهم معوقات التمكين الوظيفي لألشخاص ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية، ومعرفة أهم الحلول التي تساعد على تمكينهم الوظيفي من وجهة نظر أولياء أمورهم. ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة استخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي المسحي من خلال بناء أداة الدراسة المتمثلة في استبانة من إعداد الباحثين، وتم تطبيق الإستبانة على (322) من أولياء أمور الطالب ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية للمرحلة الثانوية الملتحقين ببرامج التربية الفكرية في مدينة الرياض. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أبرز النتائج التالية: أشارت النتائج إلى ان أهم معوقات التمكين الوظيفي لذوي الإعاقة الفكرية في سوق العمل تمثلت في المعوقات المتعلقة بالمجتمع، يليه بُعد المعوقات المتعلقة بالأسرة، يليه بُعد المعوقات المتعلقة بذوي الإعاقة الفكرية أنفسهم، وأخيراً ان أهم الحلول التي جاء بُعد المعوقات المتعلقة بزملاء العمل. وكشفت النتائج تساعد على التمكين الوظيفي لذوي الإعاقة الفكرية في سوق العمل هي كالتالي: إنشاء جهة تهتم بتوظيف ذوي الإعاقة، وإنشاء جهة رقابية تقوم بالإشراف والمتابعة على عملية توظيف ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية وتقوم بمحاسبة من ينتهك حقوقهم، وتقديم الدعم المادي والمعلوماتي من قبل الجهات المختصة لقطاعات التوظيف فيما يتعلق بالتعديالت المناسبة لذوي الإعاقة الفكرية مثل تعديالت (المباني، عدد ساعات العمل) لتسهيل تمكين ذوي الإعاقة الفكرية من الوظائف. This study aimed to identify the most important obstacles that hider their career empowerment Individuals with Intellectual Disability. It also aimed to identify the most important suggestions that help to empower them from the point of view of their parents. To achieve these goals, the researcher used the descriptive, survey method by designing a study instrument which was a questionnaire developed by the researcher. This questionnaire was used with (322) parents of students with intellectual disability in the secondary stage attending intellectual education programs in Riyadh. The following are the most important results, which the study revealed. Obstacles that hinder occupational empowerment of students with intellectual disability in labor market are: obstacles related to society followed by obstacles related to the family and obstacles related to students with intellectual disability themselves. Finally, there are obstacles related to coworkers. Results showed that the most important solutions towards occupational empowerment of students with intellectual disability in labor market are: establishing an entity that cares for employing people with disabilities, establishing a monitoring entity that supervises and monitors the process of employing those with intellectual disability and punishes those who violate their rights, providing financial and informational support by concerned entities to employment sectors in terms of suitable accommodations for students with intellectual disability such as accommodations in buildings and work hours to facilitate empowerment of students with intellectual disability to take these jobs.
