هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على صعوبات مهارات التواصل الرياضي (القراءة، الكتابة، الاستماع، التحدث، والتمثيل الرياضي) لدى طلاب المرحلة المتوسطة بمدينة مكة المكرمة، ولتحقيق هدف الدراسة اتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي المسحي، وتمثلت الأداة في استبانة تكونت من (40) عبارة تناولت صعوبات مهارات التواصل الرياضي، وطبقت الدراسة على عينة مكونة من (190) مشرفا تربويا ومعلما للرياضيات بالمرحلة المتوسطة، وتم استخدام المتوسطات الحسابية والانحرافات المعيارية لتحديد درجة الصعوبة، كما تم استخدام اختبار مان وتني للكشف عن الفروق تبعا لمتغير الوظيفة، وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة أن درجة صعوبات مهارات التواصل الرياضي بصورة عامة كانت متوسطة حيث بلغ المتوسط الحسابي العام (2,31) بانحراف معياري (0,357)؛ وعلى مستوى المحاور كانت عالية في محوري التمثيل والتحدث الرياضي حيث بلغ المتوسط الحسابي على الترتيب (2,41 - 2,35)؛ بينما كانت متوسطة في محاور الاستماع، والقراءة، والكتابة حيث بلغ المتوسط الحسابي على الترتيب (2,30- 2,25- 2,24). ولم تظهر النتائج وجود فروق دالة إحصائية بين استجابات أفراد عينة الدراسة حول صعوبات مهارات التواصل الرياضي تعزى لاختلاف الوظيفة، وأوصت الدراسة باستخدام الاستراتيجيات المناسبة والأخذ بالحلول المقترحة لعلاج الصعوبات التي ظهرت بدرجة عالية. This study aimed at identifying the difficulties of mathematical communication skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking, and mathematical representation) among intermediate school students in Makkah. In order to achieve the study objectives, the study applied the survey descriptive methodology. The tool consisted of a questionnaire consisting of two main sections. The first of which consisted of (40) items dealing with the difficulties of mathematical communication skills. The study was applied to a sample of (190) educational supervisors and teachers of mathematics. The arithmetical averages and standard deviations were used to determine the degree of difficulty and the proposed solutions, and the Mann Whitney test was used to detect differences according to the function variable. The results of the study showed that the degree of difficulties of mathematical communication skills in general was medium which the general arithmetic mean was (2.31) with a standard deviation (0.357); at the level of the axes, it was high in the axis of representation and mathematical speech, where the arithmetic average was respectively (2.41 - 2.35); while it was medium in listening, reading, (2.30-2.25-2.24). The findings did not show significant statistical differences between the responses of the members of the study sample on the difficulties of mathematical communication skills or the proposed solutions to overcome them due to the difference of function. The study recommended using the appropriate strategies and the proposed solutions to address the difficulties that have emerged to a high degree. (Published abstract)
