The aim of the present research is to identify the effect of using concept maps on developing the students' cognitive achievement in Course Principles of Curriculum in the Department of Educational Information. To achieve this goal, the researcher has prepared (concept maps) that represent the subjects to be taught in the curriculum basis. Cognitive) to measure students learning the research sample of the concepts and terminology and the foundations of the curriculum (foundations of curriculum) The research was applied to (intentional sample) of the second year students of the Department of Educational Media, Faculty of Specific Education, Cairo University and the number (40) students were divided into two groups, control group) Which has been teaching to The researcher used the descriptive and experimental method to apply this research, and the results of the research found that there are no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group students. The use of concept maps has a statistically significant effect on the level of cognitive achievement of students. There were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group students and the control group in the test of cognitive dimension achievement. The experimental group, and there are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group students in the pre and post tests in favor of the post test.
