The purpose of this study was to design a program based on the humanistic approach for developing self-esteem and measuring its effectiveness among kindergarten kids in Zarqa city in Jordan. The study tried to answer the following questions: 1) is there a statistically significant difference in mean scores of the study groups on self-esteem test and its components due to the program? 2) Is there a statistically significant difference in mean scores of the study groups on self-esteem test and its components due to kid's gender? 3) Is there a statistically significant difference in mean scores of the study groups on self-esteem test and its components due to the interaction between the kid's gender and the program? To answer these questions a training program based on humanistic approach was designed consists of (35) training situations. A sample of (50) kids (male and female) was chosen from Queen Rania Abdullah Kindergarten (the experimental group) and Hind Bint Otba'a Kindergarten (the control group). They are from Zerka educational second directorate for the scholastic year 2009/2010. The study groups (the control and the experimental) set for a pre-test (self-esteem test) in order to check equivalence between groups through figuring out the impact of the previous knowledge. The experimental group received the training program while the controlled group didn't. At the end of the treatment the study groups set for the same (self- esteem test) which was designed and developed by the researcher. Reliability coefficient was calculated by using test and re-test on a pilot group, it was (0.87). The collected data was computerized where MANCOVA was made. Statistical analysis results were: there was a statistically significant difference in the mean scores of the study groups on self-esteem test and its components due to the program .in the favor of the experimental group.
