The impact of organizational citizenship behavior on job performance to achieve a vision of Saudi Arabia 2030 :an empirical study on the Community College of Taibah University [Article]
In the light of the national vision 2030, Saudi Arabia seeks to be an ambitious homeland, a thriving economy and a vibrant society through many programs and initiatives to achieve its strategic objectives, the human resource has received the greatest attention as one of the main components of that vision. Accordingly, the present research aims to investigate the impact of organizational citizenship behaviors on the human resource performance of the community college at Taibah University. The research was conducted after a survey of previous studies on this subject. The research followed the descriptive method of analysis, and this is shown in its theoretical aspects and then the transition to applied study. The questionnaire was used to collect data and then processed by the statistical package SPSS, where the optimal size of the simple random sample reached (173) employees, thus the results can be distributed to the research community. The results revealed a high level in both organizational citizenship behavior, and its individual and collective dimensions and level of functional performance. The existence of a statistically significant effect for the organizational citizenship behavior and its dimensions of and is attributed only to the two dimensions (sports spirit - cultural behavior) in functional performance. There is also a statistically significant effect between demographic variables and both the behavior of organizational citizenship and functional performance due only to (age - sex) and (age), respectively. The importance of research is hidden in that it is one of the first Arab and Saudi researches that dealt with the relationship between these two variables in an educational institution, and it is possible to benefit from this research when conducting future studies in different fields and sectors. The researcher recommends adopting a culture that is supportive of organizational citizenship behaviors, which helps to enhance the performance of the government employee in the university sector. This will positively affect the performance of the academic system and contribute to making Saudi Arabia under its strategic vision in the ranks of the competitive countries in that sector.
