The present study aimed to investigate the attitudes of teachers towards the use of WhatsApp in education in Saudi schools and its impact on student motivation, as well as to determine the impact of the use of WhatsApp on student motivation, in addition to identify the factors that affect the use of WhatsApp on motivating Saudi students. The study population consisted of all teachers and students in schools in Saudi Arabia. The researcher followed the descriptive approach because it is suitable for the purposes of the present study. The study has reached several results, the most prominent of which are: 1) WhatsApp can solve the study problems experienced by students in a subject, through a discussion between them and the teacher about the material in a group via WhatsApp. 2) Through learning through WhatsApp, students can overcome their shyness from the teacher and shyness about expressing their opinion. 3) WhatsApp can be used as a good tool in curriculum development. The most important recommendations of the study: 1) the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is going to mainstream the use of social media (WhatsApp in particular) in the educational process at all levels. 2) WhatsApp should keep information about learners and teachers confidential. 3) Teachers use the illustrations of the lesson through WhatsApp to attract students' attention.
