The present research aims at verifying the effectiveness of a counseling program to support psychological immunity and reduce the level of irrational ideas for a sample of Taif University students. The research sample consisted of (145) students, their ages range between 19 and 21 years. A sample of 20 students was selected from the total sample who obtained the highest scores on the scale of irrational ideas and the lowest on the psychological immunity measure. They were divided equally into two groups, one experimental and the other a control sample. The five-week extension program was conducted with a total of 15 sessions, three sessions per week. Taking into account the procedures and conditions of application and evaluation. The results of the study indicated a significant reduction in irrational ideas and a high level of psychological immunity among members of the experimental group who were the counseling program applied to them. This shows the effectiveness of the counseling program, its techniques, expertise and practices in reduce irrational ideas and increasing the psychological immunity of the experimental group without the control that was no apply the counseling program to them. This shows the importance of such programs in behavior modifying. The results also indicate a negative correlation between psychological immunity and the increase of irrational ideas, which means that the higher the level of irrational ideas, the lower the degree of psychological immunity among university students. And this shows the importance of such programs in behavior modifying. (Published abstract)
