The study aimed to building national standards for the financial literacy curriculum and their availability in the financial literacy textbooks of the higher basic stage in Jordan. In order to achieve the study objectives, the researcher suggested standards for financial culture in accordance with the Jordanian environment. The study was divided into two stages: the first stage was the establishment of a list of national standards for the curriculum of financial culture in Jordan where they were showed to a group of experts, specialists and academics in the field of curricula and textbooks and educational supervisors, and take their comments to modify the list, which was finalized in six main criteria (spending and savings, lending and borrowing, income and work, investment, insurance and financial decision-making). Each standard has a sub-standard of (23) and performance indicators reached (191) indicators. The second stage was the conversion of criteria and indicators developed into an analysis tool to identify the availability of these criteria and indicators developed in the books of financial culture for the seventh, eighth and ninth grades in Jordan. The researcher used the descriptive analysis by analyzing the content of the textbooks of the basic. The paragraph has been adopted as a unit for analysis developing national standards for the financial culture curriculum and measuring their availability textbooks in Jordan. The sample of the study was consisted of six books for the curriculum of financial culture in two parts for each book. The results found that the availability of criteria and indicators developed for the first criterion of spending and savings was the highest and repeated (156) times, followed by the sixth criterion. Financial decision making which was repeated (87) times. The second main criterion of lending and borrowing is repeated 60 times, followed by the third main criterion, income and labor, 56 times, and the second time, the fourth main criterion is investment, where repeated (20) times, the fifth main criterion is risk management and insurance which are repeated 16 times, the researcher recommends the adoption of the suggested standards in this study in the development of financial education curricula for the upper stage, and includes the criteria that the study showed did not appear in books when developing the curriculum of financial culture, the researcher proposes to prepare books for the financial culture of the basic classes (first and second) in light of the criteria published in the research (Al-Sharida, Alsaideh, Non) training teachers how to teach the subject of financial culture according to the standards intended to be achieved.
