The aim of the study was to identify the reality of the application of the management by objectives technique in the basic education schools in the Sultanate of Oman and to develop a proposed model of management by objectives. The study found that the degree of application of the method of management by objectives in the basic education schools in the Sultanate of Oman was very high. The study ends up with several recommendations: 1) emphasize the importance of applying management by objectives technique in basic education schools. 2) Training principals of basic education schools and teachers to apply management by objectives technique to the goals to raise the level of achievement for school students. 3) Application the proposed (AMS) model in basic education schools to improve education and improve quality.
