The research dealt with a historical introduction to the basketball game, its history, laws, and the amendments that the laws of the game went through, The research focused on his problem that the outstanding performance in local and international matches was not by chance but rather as a result of the availability of mutual effort between training experiences and physical and skill capabilities that the player possesses, and through the researchers ’love for the game and their observation of the lack of interest of local coaches in relying on the scientific foundations in selecting distinguished players Physically and relying on physical abilities without others that have nothing to do with the basic skill of the basketball game, which negatively affected its performance, so the researchers decided to study some physical abilities and their relationship to the performance of shooting skill from jumping (two points) for the players of the talent school for basketball and to reach the players to the required level The research aims to: Identify the relationship between some physical abilities and its relationship to performing the aiming skill from jumping (two points). For players of the talent school specialized in basketball. The research hypothesis was that there was a significant correlation relationship between some physical abilities and its relation to the performance of the aiming skill from jumping (two points) for the players of the talent school in basketball. The research dealt with theoretical studies and similar research on the most important paragraphs in terms of the target capabilities for study and correction of jumping within the three-point area, then the research dealt with in the field aspect that is from the research sample and included (15) players from the specialized school in basketball / Kirkuk, and relied on the curriculum Descriptive to achieve the objectives of the research, and relied on statistical methods such as (arithmetic mean, standard deviation, torsional coefficient and Pearson correlation coefficient). And used in the research tools to achieve the test, including (stopwatch and computer) in addition to the pilot and exploratory experience. From here the results were presented and analyzed, and through the results the researcher reached conclusions from them. 1) It appeared to us that the level of the research sample in the studied variables was at the level (very good). 2) The best sample level was when the agility test (4x10 shuttle) followed by speed and strength test.
