هدفت الدراسة إلى معرفة مستوى مقروئية كتاب العلوم وعلاقته باكتساب المفاهيم العلمية لدى طالبات الصف السادس الأساسي في مديرية التربية والتعليم للواء الكورة. وقد تكونت عينة الدراسة من (200) طالبة، تم اختيارهن بالطريقة العشوائية. واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. ولتحقيق اهداف الدراسة استخدمت الباحثة اختبار(كلوز) لقياس مستوى المقروئية لكتاب العلوم للصف السادس الاساسي من خلال نصوص مختارة، وعددها (6) نصوص. وأعدت اختبار لقياس اكتساب المفاهيم العلمية، من نوع الاختيار من متعدد مكون من (30) فقرة. وقد أظهرت نتائج الدراسة ان المستوى المستقل قد جاء في المرتبة الأولى بمتوسط حسابي (72.86)، ثم جاء التعليمي في المرتبة الثانية، بمتوسط حسابي (50.88)، بينما جاء الإحباطي في المرتبة الأخيرة بمتوسط حسابي (36.24). وأظهرت النتائج ان المتوسط الحسابي للمفاهيم العلمية بلغ (13.35). كما تبين وجود علاقة ارتباطية طردية قوية بين درجات اختبار المقروئية، ودرجات اختبار اكتساب المفاهيم العلمية. وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة إجراء دراسات مماثلة للدراسة الحالية في المواد الدراسية الأخرى. The study aimed to know the level of reading the science book and its relationship to the acquisition of scientific concepts for sixth-grade students in the Directorate of Education for the Irbid Kasbah. (Claus) test to find out the readability level of the science book for the sixth basic year through selected texts, and there are (6) texts, and prepared a test to measure the level of readability of scientific concepts, and a test to measure the acquisition of scientific concepts, from a multiple-choice type consisting of (30) paragraphs. The results of the study showed the ability of female students to read the scientific texts contained in the book, and their possession of reading skill, which lies at the independent, educational and frustrating level, as it was found that there is a strong direct correlation between the scores of readability test, and the scores of the test of acquiring scientific concepts. The study recommended that similar studies should be conducted for the current study in other subjects. (Author’s abstract)
