The study aimed to explain extent of that relation through studying relation of social competence with four of parental treatment methods that can be recognized by son, which are: (cruelty, excessive protection, negligence, normality). Hypotheses of study were formulated to achieve that objective, and to answer question of the study. The main hypothesis of the study that: There is statistical significance between social competence and methods of parental treatment as recognized by sons. For testing hypotheses of the study and to answer the question, the study followed descriptive correlative method, because it searches the extent of correlative relation between social competence and methods of parental treatment as recognized by sons. Population of the study consisted of (386) students from secondary schools in Riyadh city, they were randomly selected from one stage in ten schools in Riyadh city. The age average of the students was (17.4) and the stander deviation (0.9). Then, tools of the study which consisted from two measurements, were applied on them, the first one prepared by the researcher in order to measure the social competence, the second prepared by Al-Qarni (1993) to measure parental treatment as recognized by son. The study concluded the following results: There is negative relation between social competence and methods of cruelty, excessive protection and negligence in parental relation as recognized by sons. There is positive relation between social competence and method of normality in parental treatment as recognized by sons. (Published Abstract)
