هدفت الدراسة إلى تقصي مركز الضبط، والفروق في مركز الضبط وفق متغيرات الجنس والتخصص وعمل الأم، لدى عينة مكونة من (100) طالب وطالبة في المرحلة الثانوية من غائبي الأب بالوفاة في مدينة السويداء في سورية. تم استخدام مقياس مركز الضبط من إعداد الباحثة، وقد بينت النتائج أن درجات مركز الضبط ضمن المستوى المتوسط بين الضبط الخارجي والداخلي، وأن الفروق في مركز الضبط ذات دلالة إحصائية لصالح الذكور ولصالح أبناء الأمهات غير العاملات، وعدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا وفق متغير التخصص. The study aimed to know the locus of control, and to research significant differences in the locus of control according to the variables of gender, specialization and the work of the mother. among a sample consisted of (100)students of male and female of high schools who lost their fathers to death in Swaida city in Syria ,The researcher developed the scale of locus of control. The results showed that the degrees of the locus of control are within the intermediate level between external and internal, and there were significant differences in the locus of control in favor of males. And in favor of the children of non-working mothers. No significant differences according to the specialization. (Published abstract)
