بدأ ظهور المؤسسات الخاصة لتعليم فئة الصم منذ القرن الثامن عشر ميلادي، وتواصلت العناية بالمعاقين سمعيا في القرن التاسع عشر، وازدادت العناية بهذه الفئة بصورة أكبر في القرن العشرين، حيث بدأ التوجه نحو إدماج المعاقين سمعيا في المدارس العادية، واهتم العديد من القائمين على التعليم والباحثين بتكييف مناهج وطرائق التدريس لتناسب فئات الاحتياجات الخاصة عموما، وفئة المعاقين سمعيا بصورة خاصة. إن التدريس لفئة الصم وضعاف السمع نشاط مخطط يهدف إلى تحقيق نواتج تعليمية مرغوبة وبغرض الكشف عن استراتيجيات التدريس لذوي الإعاقة السمعية يمكن طرح التساؤلات الاتية: 1) ماهي أهم طرق واستراتيجيات التدريس المخصصة لذوي الإعاقة السمعية؟ 2) كيف يسير معلم التربية الخاصة مراحل الدرس لذوي الإعاقة السمعية؟ 3) ماهي أساليب التقويم المتبعة في تدريس ذوي الإعاقة السمعية؟ (الملخص المنشور)

The emergence of private institutions to teach deaf people began in the 18th century, and the care of the deaf continued to the 19th century. Care increased for hearing-impaired persons in the 20th century. The trend towards the integration of the hearing-impaired persons began in regular schools. Many educators and researchers were interested in adapting the curricula and methods of teaching to suit the special needs groups in general and the category of the hearing-impaired in particular. Teaching deaf and hearing impaired is a planned activity aimed at achieving desired educational outcomes. In order to detect teaching strategies for people with hearing disabilities, the following questions can be asked: 1) What are the most important teaching methods for people with hearing disabilities? 2) How does the teacher of special education manage the lesson for people with hearing disabilities? 3) What are the assessment methods used in the teaching of people with hearing disabilities?
