هدفت هذه الدراسة الكشف عن مدى توافر مهارات التفكير الإبداعي في كتاب اللغة الإنجليزية للصف الأول المتوسط في المملكة العربية السعودية. تم استخدام المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم تطوير أداة التحليل والتي تقيس مدى توافر مهارات التفكير الإبداعي في كتب اللغة الإنجليزية والتي تكونت من (17) مهارة فرعية، توزعت على ثلاث مهارات رئيسة هي: الطلاقة، والمرونة، والأصالة، وتم تحقيق الصدق والثبات لها. واختيرت الفقرة كوحدة للتحليل، وقد أشارت نتائج الدراسة أنّ مهارات التفكير الإبداعي في كتاب اللغة الإنجليزية للصف الأول المتوسط في المملكة العربية السعودية تكررت (123) مرة، وكانت مهارة "الطلاقة" بأعلى تكرار، حيث بلغ تكرارها (114) تكرارًا، ثم جاء في المرتبة الثانية مهارة المرونة، حيث بلغ تكرارها (5) تكرارات، في حين كانت مهارة الأصالة في المرتبة الأخيرة، وكان تكراراها (4) تكرارات. كما كشفت النتائج أن كتاب التمارين (Work Book) كان لديه أعلى تكرار، حيث بلغت تكراراته (49) تكرارًا، في حين كان كتاب القواعد (Grammar Book) بالمرتبة الأخيرة، وكان تكراره (30) تكرارًا. أوصت الدراسة باهتمام القائمين على تأليف كتب اللغة الإنجليزية للصف الأول المتوسط بمهارتي المرونة والأصالة، وتضمينها ضمن محتويات كتب اللغة الإنجليزية، وإجراء الدراسات المستقبلية في تحليل كتب اللغة الإنجليزية للمراحل المتوسطة والثانوية ومدى تضمينها لمهارات التفكير الإبداعي. The aim of this study was to discover the availability of creative thinking skills in English language first grade intermediate textbook in Saudi Arabia. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher conducts the analytical tool that measures the availability of creative thinking skills in the English language books, which consisted of (17) skills, content of fluency, flexibility, authenticity, and has been achieved validity and reliability. The results of the study indicated that the skills of creative thinking was repeated (123): the skill of "fluency" was the highest frequency. It was repeated (114), the second was the flexibility skill, where it was repeated (5) repetitions, while the skill of originality was in the last rank and was repeated (4) repetitions. The results showed that the Book of Work had the highest frequency, with repetitions (49), while Grammar Book was the last, and it was repeated (30). The study recommended that the authors of the English first grade intermediate textbook should be more interested in the skills of flexibility and authenticity. In addition, the contents of the English language textbooks should include these skills. The study also urged future studies in the analysis and evaluation of other levels books and their inclusion of creative thinking skills. (Published abstract)
