The study aimed at identifying the nature of the research chairs at King Saud University and Umm Al-Qura University and identifying the reality of evaluating the experience of research chairs at King Saud University and Umm Al-Qura University in the light of local and international experiences. Moreover, the study aimed at identifying the challenges that hinder the application of local and international experiences in funding research chairs at King Saud University and Umm Al-Qura University. The study relied on the descriptive analytical method. The study population consisted of all the officials and officials of the research chairs at King Saud University and Umm Al-Qura University in Saudi Arabia by 145 professors. The study tool was applied to a sample size (64) of the officials and officials of the research chairs at King Saud University and Umm Al- Qura University in Saudi Arabia. The study tool consisted of a questionnaire, which consisted of two axes of 43 phrases. The results of the study ranged from 68.8% -90.6%, as the reality of evaluating the experience of research chairs at King Saud University and Umm Al-Qura University in the light of local and international experiences. The total responses to this axis are 81.7%, which indicates the degree of approval by the sample on the reality of the evaluation of the experience of research chairs at King Saud University and Umm Al-Qura University in the light of local and international experiences. The total score of responses on this axis was 63.5%, indicating a neutral degree by the challenges that hinder the application of local and international experiments in funding research chairs at the two universities. In light of the above results, the researcher recommended the following: intensifying efforts and directing them to increase the number of research chairs at King Saud University and Umm Al-Qura University, making connections with international research centers with the aim of attracting specialists with outstanding competencies to train the creative minds and improve them at King Saud University and Umm Al-Qura University, and striving to gain experiences.
