This study aims at evaluating the activities of the puppet theater for primary schools in the district of Khalis from the point of view of male and female teachers of art education. The study community consists of the male and female teachers of art education in the district of Khalis for the academic year 2016-2017. The sample consisted of (30) male and female teachers who were selected from (20) primary schools randomly. The researcher followed the descriptive approach to reach the results of the study. The study tool was a questionnaire form addressed to the teachers of art education in the district of Khalis to identify the difficulties faced puppet theater activities in primary schools. The major difficulties were the lack of theatrical art material in the curriculum of art education for primary schools and the poor interest of the school administration to teach art education and considering it as a secondary material. In the light of the findings of the study, the researcher presented a number of recommendations and proposals to complement the research and development of it. The most important one is the addition of the art of theater to the curriculum of art education in primary schools in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Diyala University to train teachers on how to use theatrical arts in primary schools, and suggested supporting the school theater in all schools, especially in primary schools by the Ministry of Education.
