يهدف البحث الحالي إلى الكشف عن الدور الريادي للمركز الثقافي والفني في جامعة جيهان. إذ يتناول البحث اتجاهات الانشطة الثقافية والفنية التي تسهم في بناء شخصية المتعلم في المرحلة الجامعية وهذا بدوره ينعكس على عرض البرامج التعليمية والثقافية والمهارية والإبداعية التي تتميز بها أعمال المركز. كما أن هذا البحث يسلط الضوء على محاور مثل الأنشطة الفنية وأهميتها، والتفكير الناقد، والإبداع، والمهارات وتنميتها. وقد اتبع الباحث منهج البحث النوعي. وقدم البحث وصفا لنشاطات وبرامج المركز الثقافي والفني في جامعة جيهان ولثلاث سنوات متتالية التي كانت ولازالت لها تأثيرات اجتماعية وثقافية على الطلبة والمجتمع ككل. وتوصل الباحث إلى عدد من الاستنتاجات كان من أهمها أن جامعة جيهان تعد من الجامعات الرائدة في تبني مشروع المركز الثقافي والفني، وبهذا فإنها تعد جامعة أسهمت وأحدثت نتائج جديدة وإيجابية في عملية التعلم واكتساب المهارات الفنية والإبداعية لدى طلبتها من خلال تقديم البرامج التعليمية الثقافية والفنية لهم. ويعد المركز الثقافي في جامعة جيهان محورا أساسيا في تطوير هذه البرامج التي تنمي شخصية الطلبة داخل الجامعة بالإضافة تعزيز مكانة الجامعة داخل المجتمع كصرح تعليمي ثقافي. وخلص البحث إلى عدد من التوصيات والمقترحات. The present research aimed at revealing the principal role of the Artistic and Cultural Center at Cihan University. The research investigates the directions of the cultural and artistic activities that play an important role in structuring the learner's character at the university level and which affect the presenting of the instructional, cultural, skill and creative programs that are peculiarly adopted by the center. The research sheds light upon sections like artistic activities and their importance, critical thinking, creativity, skills and their development. The researcher has followed the qualitative research approach. The research describes the activities and programs of the Cultural and Artistic Center in Cihan University and for three successive years which have social and cultural effects on students and society. The researcher has achieved a number of conclusions like Cihan University is considered to be one of the important universities in adopting the project of having such a cultural and artistic center, so it is makes innovative and positive results in the learning process and acquiring artistic and creative skills by students throughout giving them instructional and cultural programs. Also the Cultural Center in Cihan University is considered to be the core in developing these programs which in turn develop students' characters at the university in addition to enhance the university position in the society as an instructional and cultural place. The researcher also presents a number of recommendations and suggestions. (Published abstract)
