This paper sheds light on the types’ brain domination for students who practice athletics and the others who don’t practice athletics at University of Sulaimani and specifying the degree of difference between those two groups according to sex and specialism. The samples of the present study consists of (240) students from different sexes, male and female, and different specialism, scientific, athletics and humane. The brain domination scale (Kutami, 1987) has been used and it has been submitted to the jury of specialists in the field of psychological athletic to examine its validity and reliability. The researcher has applied this scaly on the basic sample of the research and has written the results and has analyzed them statistically .the results show that there are statistical different as in the types of brain domination for those who practice and don’t practice athletics according to sex and specialism variables .the right side is more frequently used by those who practice athletics, males and females, and the left side is more frequently used by those who don’t practice athletics, scientific and humane, and for both sexes. In the light of the results of the research certain recommendations is founded. (Published abstract)
