This study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of graduate programs at Kuwait University in the light of contemporary trends from the students' perspectives. The questionnaire consisted of (27) paragraphs, distributed on five dimensions (objectives, acceptance, content, teaching and evaluation, scientific supervision and support services). The sample of the study consisted of (122) students in the Faculty of Graduate Studies at Kuwait University. The results of the study showed that the effectiveness of graduate programs in Kuwait University in the light of contemporary trends from the students' perspectives was moderate. There were statistically significant differences at the level (α =0.05) that could be attributed to the accumulative average in the dimensions of objectives, acceptance and scientific supervision, and in favor of students with averages (3.00 - 3.49). The study also revealed the absence of statistically significant differences at the level (α = 0.05) attributed to the gender variable. The study recommended providing effective academic guidance to students and the need to expand and develop graduate programs. (Published abstract)
