Attention and visual memory and their relationship to academic achievement among a sample of third grade students with learning disabilities in Taif [Article]
Aimed at the current search to identify the level of academic achievement among a sample of students in third grade with learning disabilities in the light of the variables of attention and visual memory in the city of Taif, and included a sample thirtieth students from the students third grade with learning disabilities in Taif, was chosen as the sample at random from six schools affiliated to the Directorate of Education, Education Taif supplement the learning resource rooms, where the researchers applied a set of tools included: test attention, visual memory test, a diagnostic test in reading, a diagnostic test in mathematics. The results indicate the following: No statistically significant differences between the level of attention and level of academic achievement (reading, mathematics, the total score) in the study sample, consisting of thirty students with learning disabilities from the third grade. No statistically significant differences between the level of visual memory and the level of academic achievement (reading, mathematics, the total score) in the study sample, consisting of thirty students with learning disabilities from the third grade. The study has come out with several recommendations, one of the most important necessity for guiding therapeutic programs for people with learning disabilities in reading, math and spelling.
