تتناول الدراسة واقع تعليم العربية في بريطانيا، بهدف التوصل إلى أبرز التحديات التي تعترض سبيل تعليمها، وكيفية التعامل معها، حتى يمكن وضع بعض الحلول الكفيلة بمعالجتها، أو للحد من تفاقمها، وتكمن أهمية الدراسة في كون موضوعها يعالج تعليم العربية كلغة أجنبية؛ نظراَ لقلة الدراسات العلمية التي تناولت تعليم لغتنا في خارج وطنها العربي، وسلك الباحث خطة تكونت من ثلاثة مباحث، فالمبحث الأول: (دراسة تمهيدية)، واشتمل على مقدمة للبحث وأهميته وأهدافه ومشكلته ومنهجه وحدوده ومصطلحاته والدراسات السابقة، والمبحث الثاني: (واقع تعليم العربية في بريطانيا)، واشتمل على دخول تعليم العربية في بريطانيا، ونماذج من مدارس تعليم الجاليات، والمبحث الثالث: (تحديات تعليم العربية في بريطانيا)، واشتمل على دور الدول العربية والحكومة البريطانية في دعم تعليم العربية، واقتراح بعض الحلول لمعالجة تحديات تعليمها، وآفاق مستقبلية للنهوض بمناهجها، وأسفرت نتائج الدراسة عن وجود مشكلات تتعلق بالمنهج والمقرر التعليمي، والمعلم والمتعلم، مع غياب للإشراف الأكاديمي، والإمكانيات المادية، وفي الختام أوصت الدراسة أصحاب الرأي والقرار في دعم تعليم العربية، ومناشدة النخبة من الأكاديميين والباحثين بإعادة النظر في تطوير تعليم العربية كلغة أجنبية، وتوحيد الجهود تحت مظلة عربية واحدة، بوضع خطة علمية؛ لبناء منهج موحد لتعليم لغتنا في خارج محيطها العربي، ولدينا من الكفاءات الأكاديمية الواعدة والخبرات المهنية القادرة على تحقيق هذا المشروع الطموح، يعد مشروع أمة، وحلم للعرب جميعاً، وثورة عربية في صناعة مناهج لغتنا وتطويرها. This study tries to identify the actuality of Arabic teaching in Britain with the aim of reaching the most important challenges that hinder the teaching of our language and how to deal with it in order to address solutions and means to these challenges, or to limit their aggravation. The importance of the study lies in the fact that its subject deals with teaching Arabic asa foreign language due to the lack of scientific studies that dealt with teaching our language outside of its Arab homeland. The researcher followed a plan that consisted of three topics, the first topic: (preliminary study), which included an introduction to the research, its importance, goals, problem, methodology, limits, terminology and previous studies, the second topic: (The reality of teaching Arabic in Britain), which included the entrance of Arabic teaching in Britain, and samples from Foreign community schools, and the third topic: (Challenges of Teaching Arabic in Britain), which included the role of Arab countries and the British government in supporting Arabic teaching , and some suggested solutions to solve its teaching challenges, and future prospects for the advancement of its curricula and the results of the study showed problems related to the curriculum, the educational curriculum, the teacher and the learner, with an absence of academic supervision, material capabilities, and in conclusion the study recommended those with power and decision to support the Arabic education, and appealing the elite academics and researchers to reconsider the development of teaching Arabic as a foreign language. And uniting the efforts under one Arab umbrella, by developing a scientific plan; to build a unified curriculum to teach our language outside its Arab environment, and we have promising academic competencies and professional experiences capable of achieving an ambitious project, which is a nation project, a dream for all Arabs, and an Arab revolution in making and developing our language curricula.
