يهدف البحث إلى إعطاء صورة واضحة عن أهم المراكز الفكرية في مصر خلال الفترة موضع البحث، ودورها في رفد الحركة الفكرية والعلمية في مصر وتأثير السياسة في مجال العلم والفكر. وخلص البحث إلى أن الحياة الفكرية تأثرت بالوضع السياسي إلى حد كبير، كما أن المراكز الفكرية نمت وتطورت وتعددت أشكالها كالمساجد والمجالس العلمية والمكتبات واسواق الوراقة وغيرها. The aim of this research is to give a clear picture of the most important intellectual centers in Egypt during the period under consideration, and its role in supporting the intellectual and scientific movement in Egypt, and its dissemination and prosperity. One of the findings of the research is that political life in Egypt during this period had a significant and obvious role in the progress of the intellectual movement and spread of its centers.
