Evaluating the educational curriculum exam papers at the Faculty of Education, Al Mahrah Governorate, according to the specifications of their preparation and the criteria for composing their items [Article]
This study aimed to identify the characteristics of preparing the exam paper and the criteria for composing its items. The researcher used the descriptive-analytical approach. The study sample consisted of (8) final exams from the educational curriculum exams (college requirements) for the second semester of the academic year 2018-2019 in the Faculty of Education - Al Mahrah Governorate. a questionnaire was administered to achieve the aim of the study. The data was analyzed through an analysis form designed for this purpose. The study found out that: The characteristics of the exam paper that was prepared by the faculty members of the College of Education are of high degree of availability. In general, the percentage of the availability was (71.89%). Furthermore, the percentage of availability of criteria for drafting the objective exam items in the examination paper came in the first rank at a rate of (86.94%), which is very high, and in the second-order came the criteria for drafting the subjective exam items in the examination paper with the availability of (77.27%), which is also high percentage, and in the third-ranking, the format feature of the examination paper came with an availability rate of (69.35%), which is a high percentage, and in the last order the implicit feature of the examination paper came in with an availability rate of (54.01%), which is an average availability rate. Based on the results, the study recommended that: The faculty members have to observe the characteristics Format of the examination paper, and its implicit features, and take into their account the standards of drafting the exam papers properly.
