The purpose of the study was to use the Rasch model to develop a scale to measure attitude toward tolerance among kindergarten teachers. To achieve this, the author built a preliminary version of a five-point scale that consisted of 30-items administered to a sample of selected kindergarten female teachers. Results indicated the fit of 24 items to the assumptions of the rating scale model derived from one-parameter Rasch model of modern measurement theory and thus the final version of the developed measure included 24 items with appropriate psychometric properties. The scale provides the maximum information to persons with moderate level of quality of life if the mean ability value is (θ=.50) and the item difficulty value is (b=.55), similar to the expectancy values of the selected model of measurement.
