The current study aimed at presenting normative data for the ADHD rating scale–5 for children and adolescents “home version” in Riyadh, which was prepared by Dupaul, Power, Anastopoulos, and Reid (2016). 3687 parents participated in rating attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) among males and females between the ages of 3 and 17 years. Statistical analyses were used such as means, standard deviations, and percentiles. The results revealed local criteria based on sex and age variables, included 80 percentile, 90 percentile, 93 percentile, and 98 percentiles in each factor of the scale, and in the total score of the scale. The study recommended using the rating scale in clinical and educational settings in order to identify ADHD, and be used to measure the effectiveness of educational and therapeutic interventions on ADHD, a further study is needed to find correlation between the two factors of the scale according to parent’s rating. Finally, the team recommended conducting further studies with more samples from all provinces of the kingdom. (Published abstract)
