هدف هذا البحث إلى معرفة واقع استخدام تويتر في المرحلة الثانوية من وجهة نظر المعلمات والطالبات في مدينة الرياض، ومعرفة إيجابيات وسلبيات استخدامه، والأسباب التي تدفعهم لاستخدامه في التعليم. ولتحقيق أهداف البحث استخدمت الباحثتان المنهج الوصفي والاستبانة كأداة لجميع البيانات، حيث تكونت عينة البحث من (410) طالبة و(320) معلمة من المرحلة الثانوية في مدينة الرياض لعام 1438هـ، وكشفت نتائج البحث أن هناك موافقة بدرجة كبيرة من قبل طالبات ومعلمات المرحلة الثانوية بمدينة الرياض اتجاه استخدام تويتر في التعليم، وتمثل موقف الطالبات من استخدام تويتر في التعليم في إبداء الآراء والاقتراحات التعليمية، أما المعلمات فتمثل موقفهن في متابعة الجديد في مجالهن التعليمي. ومن أبرز السلبيات التي اتفقن عليها الطالبات والمعلمات معاً في استخدام تويتر في التعليم، هي وجود معلومات غير صحيحة في تويتر وعدم الوعي بأخلاقيات استخدام تويتر في التعليم وأساليب الأمان، ومن أهم ما أوصى به البحث توفير أنظمة تتعلق بأسس توظيف تويتر في التعليم للطالبات والمعلمات، وعقد ورش عمل في المدارس، وذلك بإشراف جهات مختصة لتثقيف الطالبات والمعلمات بمزايا وفوائد ومخاطر استخدام هذه الشبكات في التعليم، وتوجيههم بالاستخدام الأمثل لها. The aim of this research was to understand the nature of using Twitter in high school from the viewpoints of female teachers and female students in the city of Riyadh, as well as exploring the pros and cons of using it, and the reasons behind its use in education. To achieve these objectives, the researcher used the descriptive approach and questionnaire for data collection. The sample was composed of (410) female students and (320) female teachers in high school in 1438 AH (2017 AD). The results showed that there was large degree of agreement by female students and female teachers towards using Twitter in education. The students agreed on the fact that using Twitter help them to convey their opinions and suggestions. The female teachers agreed on the idea that Twitter help them to become well informed about new issues in their educational field. Among the most prominent negatives expressed by female students and female teachers regarding the use of Twitter in education, is the presence of incorrect information in Twitter and lack of awareness regarding the ethics related to the use of Twitter in education as well as security concerns, The researcher recommended providing regulations concerning the use of Twitter in education by conducting workshops in schools under the supervision of competent authorities. The purpose is to educate the students and teachers with the advantages, benefits, and risks of using these social networks in education, and direct their attention to its optimal use.
