The present study aimed to "identify the role of university education in bringing about social change and development in the Sultanate of Oman The results indicated that the nature of university education in the Sultanate from the point of view of the students in the sample of the study is characterized by distinct characteristics of all aspects to the degree to which it can be described as strong, which confirms that the males believe that the reality The nature of public university education is better than the university education of the Sultanate. It is also possible to say that the level of social change made by university education in the university student itself is very strong. The results confirmed the very strong impact of university education on the development of the Sultanate of Oman, and that the most consistent and higher handicap was to "focus only on the cognitive and theoretical aspects" Which can be described as a very powerful handicap. In the context of these constraints, it is found that the lack of emphasis on practical and applied, and lack of emphasis on the graduation of graduates applied skills. Thus, respondents see the existence of multiple obstacles that limit the effectiveness of university education in the development of community. (Published abstract)
