The study aimed at identifying the degree of human resources management practices of faculties’ deans in Jordanian universities in Amman and the relationship to the level of crisis management from the point of view of heads of academic departments. In order to achieve the objective of the study, the descriptive correlation method was applied. The study community is made up of all (301) heads of departments in public and government universities in Amman, distributed to (104) in public universities and (197) in private universities in the mentioned area. And due to the small size of the study community, the questionnaires were distributed to all members of the community of study and (246) questionnaires were retrieved. The researcher developed two questionnaires, the first to measure human resource management practice, and second to measure the level of crisis management and the veracity of result was shown, verified and approved for the both tools. The results showed that the overall degree of practice of deans of human resources management was high and all areas of the tool were also high, and that the level of crisis management was high, and that there was a positive correlation between the degree of human resources management practice and the level of crisis management. There is also a positive relationship between all areas of the two instruments. There are also statistically significant differences in the practice of human resources management due to the gender variable which was in favor of males, and the academic level in favor of professors. As well as statistically significant differences due to variable years of services for 5 years or less. Also statistically significant differences were found in the level of crisis management due to the gender variable and for males and years of service for the under-five years of service group. Furthermore, there were not any statistical differences regarding the college major variable except for the readiness and prevention fields in favor of the humanitarian colleges. There were not also statistical differences for the academic rank variable except for the readiness, prevention, and activity recovering fields in favor of the professor. The study recommendation came out as the most important of which was the continuity of the development of alternative and supportive plans to strengthen human resources management and crisis management in higher education institutions with the participation of staff with the implementers to establish controls that ensure their effectiveness to achieve the desired goals, and the need to continue to maintain the degree of human resources management and crisis management practice in Jordanian universities.
