The aim of this research is to find out the causes of girl students reluctance to join home economy department and to offer suggestions to encourage girl students through a proposal designed by the researcher. The most important findings of the girl student reluctance to join home economy department as follows: the high cost. Lack of job opportunities. Lack of contemporary developments. Lack of parents interest in this field. The students offered suggestions to prompt. Students to join the department such as: Increase students allowance. Increase in jobs other than Education spread awareness of the importance of Home Economy Department in the Community. There was a noticeable change on the students tendencies after the program was implemented on secondary school students which means the program helped the students to acquire positive attitudes towards home economy department.
