هدف البحث إلى تقصي درجة ممارسة معلمي العلوم في المدارس الأردنية لمهارات البحث الإجرائي من وجهة نظرهم. وقد استخدم الباحثان المنهج الوصفي لمناسبته لتحقيق أهداف البحث. تكونت عينة البحث من (58) معلما ومعلمة من معلمي العلوم في مدارس التعليم الأساسي الحكومية التي تتبع مديرية تربية وتعليم لواء ماركا في العاصمة الأردنية عمّان. ولتحقيق هدف البحث تمّ بناء استبانة مكونة من (36) فقرة موزعة على خمس مهارات هي: تحديد المشكلة، صياغة الفرضيات، وجمع البيانات، وتحليل البيانات، واستخلاص النتائج. بينت نتائج البحث أن درجة ممارسة معلمي العلوم لمهارات البحث الإجرائي جاءت متوسطة. كما بينت النتائج أن درجة ممارسة عينة البحث لمهارات البحث الإجرائي لا تختلف باختلاف جنس المعلم، في حين أن درجة ممارسة عينة البحث لتلك المهارات تختلف باختلاف المؤهل العلمي ولصالح حملة مؤهل البكالوريوس والدراسات العليا. وفي ضوء هذه النتائج تم التوصل إلى مجموعة من التوصيات. The study aimed at investigating the degree to which science teachers in the basic education stage practice action research skills from their point of view. And the researchers used the descriptive approach to achieve the research objectives. The sample of the study consisted of (58) male and female science teachers in public schools affiliated to the Marka directorate of education in the Jordanian capital, Amman. To achieve the objective of the study, a questionnaire consisting of (36) items was constructed; the items were divided into five skills: problem identification, hypothesis formulation, data collection, data analysis, and conclusions. The results of the study showed that the degree to which science teachers practice action research skills was medium. Also, the results showed that the degree of the study sample’s practice for action research skills does not vary according to the teacher’s gender but varies according to the academic qualification in favor of bachelor's and postgraduate degrees. In light of these results, the study suggested a set of recommendations. (Published abstract)
