The study problem is identified by the lacking of the second school students in story writing skills. The need for modern methods and strategies that can be used to develop those skills including learning by contract. The research was based on descriptive and empirical methodology aiming at develop the story writing skills and increase the awareness of them for First Year of Secondary School students using Learning by Contract. To achieve the study objectives a list of story writing skills was made and an awareness scale of these skills. A student book was also made with a teacher’s guide to be implemented and after applying such tools and teach students using Learning by Contract; we found that Learning by Contract is effective in developing story-writing skills for the students in the first year of secondary school. (Published abstract)
